HomeGrownRadioNJ
Celebrates Two Years of Independent Community Radio
Stanhope House
Sunday, October 29
4-11pm
The
“Second Anniversary Concert For HomeGrownRadioNJ” kicks off
the station’s ten day on air “Fun Drive” featuring
live in studio guests and surprises.
The
seed for HomeGrownRadioNJ was planted on Mischief Night, October
30, 2004
when a dozen deejays and a hand full of listeners started
a radio revolution via the internet.
Since that night, the deejay roster has more then
quadrupled and the station has grown a loyal listening
audience in the Skylands region, as well as nationally and
internationally.
“We
never could have dreamed how the station would take off”
says Kath Cameron of HomeGrown. “Artists, activists and
listeners continually tell us how important it is to have
true community-based radio.” The station relies on
volunteers along with contributions from listeners, live
concerts and festivals.
The
concert runs from 4-11pm
.
Admission
to the Second Anniversary Concert for HomeGrown is $15 at
the door and $25 gets you a HGRNJ T-Shirt. The Stanhope
House is located at 45 Main Street in Stanhope, New
Jersey.
Music will be provided by
John
Sonntag, Red Molly, Denny Tilton and Friends, Julie Edlow
with Kris Kehr, Buzz Universe, and The ShocknAw
Mountain
Boys of Railroad Earth fame.

You! Everyone who has been part of HomeGrownRadioNJ

this for the love of music and community and because you
tell us you want something different. So thank you
for loving out of the box radio and supporting this
community!
We hope to see you there and we appreciate your input on
the station.
Hope to see you at the Stanhope or just listen in during
our Fun
