HomeGrownRadioNJ Battle of The Bands
Welcome to the Battle of the Bands We will listen to every band and choose our top 8 to participate in the Battle of the Bands. A $25 entry fee will be required for the top 8 chosen to participate. The top 8 will have one week from notification to pay the entry fee or your slot will passed to the next entry. All fees will be put toward the prize money for the Battle of The Bands. PRIZES 1st prize----$250 and an In Studio Saturday Night Showcase performance at the
HomeGrown Studios. (Exclusive band performance) 2nd prize----$100 and a headline slot on a First Friday (3 to 4 bands
typically perform on our First Friday In Studio shows. The Second Prize
winner will headline with a 45-60 minute performance.) 3rd prize----$50 and a First Friday appearance (As above - 3 to 4 bands
typically perform. Our Third Prize winner will be allocated a 30-45 minute
set.)
There will be a 5 judge panel rating the bands in 5 categories between 1
and 10. Those
categories are Originality, Stage Presence, Musical Ability, Crowd
Response,
Bands will have between 15 and 20 minutes onstage and will be timed.
Going over time will incur a penalty in scoring. Bands are asked to play 1
cover and 2 originals The 8
